When Should I Sell?

If you’re like us, your crystal ball broke a long time ago.  It is always a question whether the market is at the top or the bottom or somewhere in between.

When you decided to invest, you had goals in place.  Those may have been to increase the equity in the property and then sell.  Or they may have been to hold the property as a long term rental.  Once you reach the goals you had for this property, you should consider your options.

Supply and demand also come into play.  If there is a shortage of two unit properties on the market and you have one that has good income and is in good repair, you may want to sell.  But if you have a single unit and prices are declining, it may be a good time to continue to rent.

The reality is that if you need to sell, it’s a good time!
